What: SUNY Poly 12th Annual Benefit Dinner Check Presentation Ceremony
When: Tuesday, April 28, 2015
Where: SUNY Polytechnic Institute Campus
Never underestimate the ability of college students.
SUNY Polytechnic Institute's Psychology and Sociology Club, West Indian and African Club, and Veteran Club proved this very point on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Daniele's Banquet Specialists in New Hartford.
The students planned, prepped, and hosted the 12th Annual Benefit Dinner in honor of Johnson Park Center (JPC), with the guidance of SUNY-Poly Faculty, Dr. Tichenor (who also serves as JPC Board of Directors Vice-President), and Dr. Joseph (who serves as JPC Clinical Supervisor). The beautiful event became much more than a fundraiser – thanks to generous sponsorships, many from the JPC program participants and community members were able to attend the event. This was a unique opportunity for our community, whose individuals and families often do not have the opportunity to attend events of this caliber; for that generosity, JPC is so very grateful.
Over the past 12 years, the SUNY-Poly students have raised over $100,000 to help various organizations in the area, an incredible feat and an accomplishment of great magnitude.
On April 28, SUNY-Poly students and faculty presented the check to JPC CEO/Founder Rev. Dr. Scates in a presentation ceremony. This year, the total amount raised was $14,000!!!
The Benefit Dinner and the Presentation Ceremony were outstanding openings to what will surely be a wonderful year – JPC celebrates 20 Years in Johnson Park-Cornhill! This exciting milestone will be celebrated throughout the year!
