Youth Programs (EVENINGS)

Mentors

Be a friend and support the Cornhill children. Teach a class, help with crafts, games, or computer time or have some time to listen.

Why not come in and pass on your skills and talents?

Many opportunities are available!

Coaches for...

Basketball – Volleyball – Baseball – Soccer.

We have the space and interested children but need coaches for both girls and boys.

We need you – committed for a season to start and maintain your own team!

Tutors

Help the children with homework, or work with them on literacy and technology skills using our LeapFrog Program.

Teachers

Computers - Sewing - Crafts - Life skills - First Aid - Baking - Cooking - and much more.

Special Events

During our Summer Community Events, we need a lot of short-term help!

Operations

Maintenance

We're looking for men/women willing to come in on a regular basis to maintain JPC properties or a "handy man" who could come in occasionally to do some projects.

• Carpentry (Make shelves, minor repairs, etc.)
• Electrical work
• Gardening
• Renovation (Painting, sheetrock, etc.)
• "Handy Man" (Fix what needs fixing...) 

Cleaning

With all of our programs and people coming in and out, things get dirty! Would you be willing to come in once a week and clean for two hours, or could you organize a group for a clean up party at JPC? We will have the food ready for the clean-up party to eat.

Administrative Work

Filing, office help, writing/proofreading...you name it, we need it!

Other Jobs

Food Pantry

(Mon, Wed & Fri) We need good workers at the Food Pantry so that hungry people can efficiently be served.

Job Coach/Mentors

Assist and support adults in preparing, finding and maintaining a job, including help with wake up calls, assistance in resume writing, interview rehearsal, etc.

Transport

Drive individuals or a small group to meetings, appointments or grocery shopping.

We can work around your schedule! If you are committed, we can use you for 2 hours or 2 months!

Material Needs

Youth Programs

Markers, Coloring Paper, Lined Paper, Craft Supplies, Prizes, 20 pc. Puzzles, Connect Four, UNO Cards, Jenga, Lego, Board Games, Positive Videos, Outdoor Sports Equipment, etc. Candy, Ice Tea Powder, Ravioli, Soda, Pizza Party, Vegetable Platter, Hot Dogs, Hamburger Patties, etc.

Food Pantry

Dry Products such as Mashed Potatoes, Rice, Pancake Mix, Noodles, Spaghetti, Stuffing, Cereal, Oatmeal, etc. Canned products such as Corn, Peas, Beans, Peaches, Pears, Apple Sauce, Assorted Vegetable, Tomato Products, etc. Various items such as Ketchup, Mustard, Coffee, Tea, Cookies, etc.
